Before you knew them as "the guys who remotely mixed the Everything Goes Cold EP, remixed 'Abort' for 'Gears Gone Wild', worked on the Squidhead Liberation Front KLF cover of 'What Time Is Love?', and occasionally let Eric Gottesman from EGC play bass in their band ", did you know that Marco and Marko of XP8 had their own project, called XP8? BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THEY TOTALLY DID. And it's significantly more popular than Everything Goes Cold! Sean and JP have been talking about touring together for about 4 years and are looking very forward to finally getting a chance to tear up the stage together.

Sean Payne of Cyanotic further comments: "We've been fans of each other"s music for years and after getting to play a few shows together [namely @ the 2k7 Detroit Electronic Music Festival], it became clear to us that it was in all our best intentions to join up for a tour. So when one of our big influences [16volt] asked Cyanotic to come out on the road again [after sharing a lot of good times together playing on last year's Denial Highway tour], we decided this was the time to finally join up with Rabbit Junk, play each other's songs and spend a couple weeks partying together on the west coast."

Cyanotic Puts Finishing Touches On The Medication Generation Album

Cyanotic has been locked in the studio to finish recording their most anticipated album to date, The Medication Generation. Produced by Jason Prost (mindFluxFuneral/owner N.U.M. Studios) and Jamie Duffy (Acumen Nation/Dj Acucrack) the album shows definite evolution since Transhuman 2.0 in 2007. Even though a few of the tracks from this record have been in different stages of completion since early 2006.

Vocalist Sean comments: “We just spent last week busting our asses to finish up the entire guitar recording, editing and engineering. We've got demo vocals for all the tracks, just have to do final passes on everything, which should be all wrapped up in a single session. After that, final song mixdowns (since most of 'em are already pretty well along), then a week break to live with them, then a single session for polishes and additional engineering. So basically, three to four more sessions, it’s really close and I'm feeling the weight of 300 tons slowly being lifted off my chest.”

Cyanotic will be joining 16VOLT for 5 dates on the West coast early July to promote their upcoming album The Medication Generation.

The record is expected to be released in late Summer 2009.

After the shoot, Cyanotic vocalist Sean Payne expressed interest in filming scenes for a video at the club. The clean futuristic feel and projected visuals engulfing the room has this spot screaming The Medication Generation.

Another shoot with Melissa L. Allen took place last weekend using the public transit systems of Chicago as the backdrop.

No details have been released about the video at this time.

We were freaking out when we got news that "Insurgence” by Cyanotic had been featured in the “Desperation Trailer” for the new “Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena” game coming to XBox360, Playstation 3 and home PCs in March.

So we contacted, Dennis Lesica, the Music Researcher for Getty Images, and he had this to say about the advertisement, "Funny thing, I worked with the production company on that trailer for Riddick and didn't know they ended up using Cyanotic until I read your E-mail. I'm a fan and Sean's my homeboy, so this is like a personal Victory.”

It was also mentioned that you should keep your ears open for Cyanotic tracks in new episodes of HBO's "Real Sex", MTV's "Parental Control", specials for "Dead Space" and "Gears of War 2" on Sci-Fi Channel and the new commercial for HorrorMerch.com.

It seems the only way to get across the border legally is to pay $1000s to lawyers or wait 6 months for process with a chance of still getting turned down. To help ensure their tour in 2009, we will be selling the updated Bit Riot US version of "Fighting for Voltage" along with the US Tour Shirt at this date. ATTENTION: LEFT SPINE DOWN U.S. TOUR CANCELLED

Chicago, IL - October 1, 2008 - The Vancouver cyberpunk quintet Left Spine Down (also known as LSD) are sad to inform everyone that they have been forced to cancel all the US dates for their much anticipated "Touring For Voltage 2008 Tour" in support of their debut record Fighting For Voltage.

Their American label Bit Riot Records were not able to secure working visas in time for the band to cross into the US legally, and the group was subsequently turned away at the border without hesitation. Luckily, they were let go with nothing more than a warning and will be allowed to attempt to cross into the US at a later date.

Guitarist Denyss McKnight states "We couldn't be more disappointed with how things went. We were looking forward to finally getting across the border and meeting our American fans and getting a chance to play with some bands that we really respect and admire. It's gotten a lot harder to get across the border, and unfortunately that is really killing any chance for a Canadian band to expand their fan base. It's a shame that the United States can't come up with a way for international artists to come into their country without as much headache as we have to go through to get in."

Bit Rot Records regrets not being able to get the work visas approved in time and is pursuing proper immigration representation for Left Spine Down to ensure safe travel across the border in 2009. They would also like to apologize to everyone that worked so hard to put this tour together, to the fans who were looking forward to finally seeing the band live, and to our artist Left Spine Down for the inconvenience and disappointment.

Tonya Leigh of Bit Riot Records adds "I couldn't agree more with Denyss on this. My sincerest apologizes to everyone. This has definitely been a learning experience. Its a tough blow for us, for sure. Don't worry though, its not tough enough to stop us. Bit Riot Records willbring LSD to the US in '09."

The band is hoping to try again in the spring as part of a festival run. Band manager Mark Sommer says "The band has applied to perform at next year's SXSW and has a confirmed Canadian Music Week 2009 appearance slotted and has also been asked to appear at certain electronic and metal festivals in 2009. So, we're going to try again. Hopefully, things will work out in our favor this next time through."

Left Spine Down apologizes to all affected promoters, agents, bands and most importantly, our fans who were hoping to see the band live.

Vancouver's cyber-punk quintet Left Spine Down prepares to unleash their sonic assault on North America in support of the American release "Fighting For Voltage" on Bit Riot Records. June 3, 2008 – Chicago, IL - Bit Riot Records has been an admirer of Canadian, digital punks Left Spine Down for some time now and the label is thrilled to officially welcome them to its increasingly diverse roster.

At first we were unsure about Bit Riot but when the truck full of Money and Cocaine arrived we pretty much made up our minds! And the fact that the truck was being driven by prepaid hookers featuring Phoebe Cates was like icing on the cake! – Denyss McKnight

The endless energy from featured members Jeremy Inkel and Jared Slingerland of Industrial music legends Front Line Assembly and Denyss McKnight, former bass player of Vancouver Punk music veterans The Black Halos, has earned the band quite a reputation since forming a style they refer to as iPunk. Their fusing of Industrial, Metal, Drum & Bass and old school Punk bridges the gap between new and old, and makes for a good natured mix of circle pits and stage dives that are integral to the punk scene as well as the finger-pointing anthems that bring the metal industrial scene to life. From Cyanotic's Blog: "People have been asking about our new album. We figure we might as well answer a couple things. The name of the new album is "The Medication Generation". We are hoping to have it out by summer. Its about North American ways to cope with living. Eating pills and reading celebrity magazines. Jason Prost from mindfluxFuneral is co-producing the album with me (Sean). The electronics and structuring of the songs is intact. Chris and Drew are finishing up the writing of the guitars. I am also working on a project with Jared from Chemlab and Matt from Caustic. The tentative title of the project is Prude."
